Point Pleasant Marsh Restoration Project

awarded

The project involves restoring a marsh in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, by placing pilings, tree limbs, branches, sticks, and other natural materials to catch silt. Dredge material from nearby lagoons will be placed behind the branches to help rebuild the marsh, followed by planting marsh grasses. The restoration aims to protect homes and habitats by filtering flood waters and absorbing wave energy to prevent storm damage.
