Description | The project involves the design, build, finance, operation, and maintenance of a new 30 Ml/d Water Recycling Centre at Corfe Mullen under the Direct Procurement for Customers (DPC) model, led by Wessex Water Services Ltd. This includes the construction of transfer pipelines from the existing Poole Water Recycling Centre to the new facility, along with ancillary works such as the creation of new wetlands and discharge pipelines. The initiative forms part of wider regional plans by the West Country Water and Environment Group (WCWE) to enhance water recycling and environmental infrastructure in the South West of England, with an estimated capital value of approximately £287 million and a total contract value of around £345 million (excluding VAT) over 25 years from 2029 to 2054. |
