Description	The state government has granted in-principle approval for the extension of Chennai Metro Rail Phase-II Corridor 4 from Poonamallee to Parandur. The project will be executed in two phases: Phase I from Poonamallee to Sunguvarchatram (27.9 km) and Phase II from Sunguvarchatram to Parandur, spanning a total distance of 52.94 km.
