The project covers three areas of work: a) weekly death statistics The goal of this project is to reduce weekly time spent on this task and to develop scripts that would easily allow the compilation of indicators at different periodicities, such as monthly. As of 2021 Eurostat has asked the data, including the historic data from year 2000 onwards, to be submitted for the new NUTS2021 regions. b) 1 km square grid map The objective of this project is to establish procedures for creating 1 km square grid in accordance with the provision requirements laid down in Regulation (EU) 2018/1799. Key areas of work that require further development are a) disclosure control methodology and b) establishing and testing technical solutions for loading 1 km square grid data to the Census Hub. c) ESOP (European Statistics on Population) framework The aim of this project is to improve the quality of the population measure to ensure that our statistics are in accordance with the framework laid out by ESOP.
