Poro Point Cable Landing Station Development

A Japanese telecommunications company, InfiniVAN, has secured a long-term lease agreement to develop the Poro Point Cable Landing Station in La Union, Philippines. The project aims to operate the facility as an open cable landing station to enable multiple undersea cable systems to land there and allow domestic network providers to colocate their equipment. This initiative is part of the Luzon Bypass Infrastructure, which includes two cable landing stations, four repeater stations, and supporting terrestrial facilities, overseen by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
