Description | Africa Finance Corporation has reached financial close on a €65 million dual-currency green bond to fund the development of a 66MW solar power plant in Korhogo, Côte d’Ivoire. This project is the first project finance green bond in Côte d’Ivoire and the WAEMU region, designed to expand renewable energy capacity and support energy transition goals. The project is expected to be operational in 2027, powering over 100,000 households and reducing carbon emissions by more than 72,000 tonnes annually. |
