The proceeds will be used for the construction of a solar PV plant in the port of Acu in Brazil. The $1 billion project will be built in two stages – a first 300MW phase and a second 800MW phase. China Development Integration (CDIL) will develop the asset through a special purpose vehicle controlled by its subsidiary, China-Brazil Integration Group. CDIL has tapped China Machinery Engineering Corp (CMEC) for the engineering, procurement and construction of the project, as well as the financing. Total project cost is 1000 USDm and it was provided in equity. Financial Closure was achieved in April 2021.
