In this co-location project in Eastern Cape, the private party provides infrastructure and facilities management. The arrangement also has the private sector providing some clinical services to the public sector, and public sector staff providing some clinical services in the private facilities. The concession period is 17 years.The Port Alfred Hospital, completed in February 2009, was rebuilt from the ground up and offers the local community state-of-the-art medical facilities.The refurbishment of the Settlers Hospital in Grahamstown was completed in August 2009, including the construction of a new private wing. The public and private wings share a number of upgraded facilities
