Port Coquitlam Recreation Centre Project

The City of Port Coquitlam is proposing to construct a new community recreation centre on a 7 acre site in the downtown core, close to the West Coast Express Station and transit. Project components include: three ice surfaces, an aquatic facility, studio, a youth lounge, seniors lounge, arts and crafts studio, boardroom, five multi-purpose rooms, a Terry Fox display area and a library. The Centre would replace and expand existing municipal facilities including the Port Coquitlam Recreation Centre, the Wilson Seniors Centre and the Terry Fox Library, which the City notes are older buildings that have reached the end of their serviceable life.
