Description

Description

The Port Development and Construction Project for Turkey will describe and analyze a request by the Turkish Government for an additional loan to cover an increase in the foreign currency requirements of the project. This project will consist of the sale of its participations or ownership in industrial enterprises as rapidly as practicable in order to make re-available the resources of the bank for the above purposes. The project will also construct an entirely new port at Samsun on the Black Sea; and additional permanent equipment for six existing smaller ports. The proceeds of the loan will be used to finance the acquisition from abroad of equipment, supplies, and services for seven projects involving the improvement, and construction of specified Turkish seaports.
