Description | The project entails the 30-year concession for the development of the Port of Banana, located along Congo’s Atlantic coast. The total investment stands at $1.2 billion and will see DP World manage and develop the port in a joint venture with the Democratic Republic of Congo’s government. The capacity of the port is expected to be 450 000 TEUs per year, as initially is planned to be developed a 600-meter quay with an 18m draft, as well as a 30-hectare yard for containers storage. The project is sponsored by the UAE-company with a 70% stake and the government of Congo with the remaining 30%.
