It will be 310 meters long, displace 78,000 tons, and be powered by two K22 nuclear reactors. The carrier will feature advanced U.S.-made EMALS catapults and advanced arresting gear, supporting a wide range of aircraft including the Next Generation Fighter and drones. Construction is planned to begin in 2026 at Saint-Nazaire by Chantiers de l’Atlantique and Naval Group, with service entry targeted for 2038. |
