Description | This project is a continuation from the project work of the Porter Creek Streamflow Enhancement Project focused on the construction of a permanent and electronically controlled water release system. Streamflow and coho salmon monitoring were conducted with water releases for outmigrating coho smolts and summer rearing of juvenile coho. The Second Phase of the project focuses on using the system to conduct streamflow augmentation ans utilizing the water release system in order to study and detect biological response from increased flow. The project will continue to provide vital flow enhancement, and the additional data will be used to update reports and plans generated from Phase I. |
