"As national coordinator, IPDJ seeks to expand the #BEACTIVE movement in Portugal by strengthening and enlarging the number and the quality of the partnerships with stakeholders to support the implementation of the EWOS 2022-23. , IPDJ will encourage all population segments to adopt an active lifestyle, minimizing sedentary behavior and increasing participation in regular sport and physical activities and events. Based in the experience of previous editions, IPDJ will enlarge EWOS scope and social impact through the development of a strong national awareness campaign to encourage citizens to maintain an active lifestyle. Using different digital and social media platforms, a wide diversity of contents (home-based activities, recommendations for physical activity, videos, and brochures targeting different groups of the population) will be disseminated at a national scale. During the 2022 and 23 EWOS editions, along with the online activities (webinars, videos, and hybrid events when applicable), IPDJ will develop a variety of presential events, both at national and regional/local scale. Women, children and youngsters (youth), families, seniors, people at risk and with disabilities as well as those living outside the large urban centers will constitute the main segments of the population focused. Home and outdoor activities, fitness and gyms involvement, workplace, education, youth, social security, environment, active mobility, and sport/PA-related actions will be developed during these two editions. IPDJ will build on the previous work developed by the PT European Cities of Sport network and the involvement of additional national networks (youth, workplace, seniors, municipalities,cultural) to increase social impact and reach more than 1.5 million participants. An ambitious plan of activities will be prepared (>2.000) to spread #BEACTIVE message and mobilize the population to adopt an active lifestyle."
