Potential Data Center on George Street in Marshfield

planned

A potential data center project is being considered along George Street in Marshfield. As of now, only a conceptual drawing and some fact-finding emails and zoning verification have been received. The project requires a conditional use permit before any plan review or permitting can proceed. The city has passed ordinances requiring data centers to be allowed only in I-2 zoning for Heavy Industrial areas and to undergo a conditional use permitting process. No land has been purchased or permits applied for yet, and the developer has shown signs of pulling interest for now.
