Poverty Plains Solar Project

The Poverty Plains Solar Project in Warner, New Hampshire is transforming a former gravel pit into the largest solar installation in the state. The project will produce nearly five megawatts of power on roughly 20 acres of already disturbed land, generating enough electricity in its first year to serve about 1,000 homes. It uses a community power model with group net metering, allowing towns, school districts, and public entities to share benefits without building individual arrays, stabilizing energy costs and providing savings.
