Power Plant Upgrades in Clyde River

• The project involves diesel-to-diesel generator replacement that will replace the current diesel power generator set in Clyde River, Nunavut which has exceeded its operational life expectancy. The new generator will be more reliable and will improve energy security in the community. • Replacing this generator set with a newer model will improve the power plant’s energy efficiency from 3.61 kilowatt-hours per litre (kWh/L) to 3.9 kWh/L, as well as create a more reliable source of energy for the community. • The project will result in improved energy security and more efficient and reliable energy generation in the Clyde River area of Nunavut.
