Description | POWERGRID Khavda II-B Transmission, a wholly owned subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL), has commissioned an interstate transmission system to evacuate 4.5 GW of renewable energy from the Khavda pooling station in Kutch District, Gujarat, under Phase-II, Part-B. The project includes construction of two 765 kV line bays at Lakadia Pooling Station and installation of 240 MVAr, 765 kV switchable line reactors at both Lakadia and Ahmedabad ends, along with spare reactors and associated switching equipment. The operation and maintenance period is 35 years from the commercial operation date. |
