Description | Powergrid Narela Transmission Ltd (PNTL), a TBCB subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL), is implementing an interstate transmission system (ISTS) scheme officially termed as 'Transmission system strengthening scheme for evacuation of power from solar energy zones in Rajasthan (8.1 GW) under Phase-II, Part G.' The project involves development of 408 circuit kilometers of transmission lines and 4,500 MVA of transformation capacity, covering Rajasthan, Haryana, and NCT of Delhi. The scheme includes a 765kV double-circuit Khetri-Narela transmission line spanning 340 ckm, with some delays due to right-of-way issues. Two elements were commissioned in October 2025, and the final element is expected to be commissioned by the end of November 2025. |
