Powerhouse Parramatta Museum

under construction

Powerhouse Parramatta is Australia's largest new museum, set to open in late 2026 in Western Sydney. It is a $1.3 billion cultural project featuring 30,000 square meters of space, including seven exhibition spaces, learning and digital studios, a cinema, a 600-seat theatre, rooftop garden, restaurant, cafe, and 30 residential studios for scientists, artists, and researchers. The museum focuses on sustainability, education, and interactive exhibits, aiming for net-zero emissions and a 6-Star Green Star Buildings rating. It is part of a broader $1.3 billion renewal program including other Powerhouse Museum group developments.
