The company has a 60-GW data center interconnection queue and plans to build power plants through a joint venture with Blackstone Infrastructure to directly serve data centers. The joint venture is engaged with hyperscalers, landowners, natural gas pipeline companies, and turbine manufacturers, securing multiple land parcels for new generation buildout. PPL supports legislation allowing utilities to own generation to address resource adequacy and plans to build about 7.5 GW of new generation in the next five to seven years. |
