The overall aim of the Eurostat/OECD Purchasing Power Parities (PPP) program is to provide high quality PPPs and related economic indicators. To achieve the overall aim ELSTAT shall fulfill the specific action under objectives A to G . A. Consumer goods price surveys B. Estate agencies rents surveys C. Capital goods price surveys D. Hospital price surveys E. Other PPP input data F. PPP Inventory G. Additional tasks ELSTAT shall follow Regulations (EC) No 1445/2007 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 December 2007 establishing common rules for the provision of basic information on Purchasing Power Parities and for their calculation and dissemination, the Commission Regulation(EU) No 193/2011 as regards the system of quality control used for Purchasing Power Parities and Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1163 as regards the list of basic headings used for Purchasing Power Parities. In order to achieve all the above described specific objectives ELSTAT shall follow the methodological manual on PPPs, the specific instructions given by Eurostat and shall remain in line with the Eurostat PPP work plan 2022 deadlines as it shall be established by the 2021 PPP Working Group.
