The project is focused on getting of a set of reliable and consistent data which enables to calculate price ratios across countries in order to establish good quality purchasing power parities. The work connected with the action of provision of basic information on purchasing power parities consists of seven parts: Objective A – CONSUMER GOODS PRICE SURVEYS Objective B – ESTATE AGENCIES RENT SURVEY Objective C – CAPITAL GOODS PRICE SURVEY Objective D – HOSPITAL PRICE SURVEYS Objective E – OTHER PPP INPUT DATA Objective F – PPP INVENTORY Objective G – ADDITIONAL TASKS The expected result of Consumer goods price surveys is to have a data set of average prices of a sufficient number of consumer products defined on the ECP item list that enables a calculation of price ratios across countries in order to establish good quality of PPPs. In the framework of rent survey it will be necessary to prepare a rent survey in Bratislava. For fulfilling the tasks defined in objective C it will be necessary with the help of subcontractors to prepare and submit to Eurostat construction price data for the construction survey. Regarding equipment survey the preview and pre-survey phase will be done by expert of SOSR. The expected result of objective D is to provide Eurostat with hospital price data. The aim of objective E is expected to provide Eurostat with statistical questionnaires that are needed for PPP calculations. For this purpose it will be necessary to submit to Eurostat national data on GDP expenditure weights, non-deductible VAT, tips, actual and imputed rentals, compensation of government employees and CPIs. The main attention of the objective F will be focused on updating Inventory of sources and methods used in the framework of PPP exercise by eventual changes used in the national level. In the framework of the objective G the main attention will be dedicated to translate some parts of item lists E26-1, E26-2 surveys into Slovak language.
