Preparation for the NACE Rev.2.1 implementation in Business Registers

The aim of the project is to support national statistical institutes in starting preparations for the implementation of the updated NACE Rev.2.1. The following activities (from those mentioned in Call for Proposals_SMP-ESS-2022-NACE-IBA -ARES) will be implemented by Statistics Poland as part of the project: 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10. The following works will be carried out: • Translating the explanatory notes and entries of the new Eurostat NACE index into Polish, • Developing the national version of NACE Rev. 2.1 classification, • Developing and implementing the various strategies of reclassification the national statistical business register`s population by NACE Rev.2.1 classification, of which: setting up the codes in Python/R language for the selected algorithms of the machine learning and artificial intelligence, introduction of the supplementary questions on the specific survey forms, reclassification of the units basing on the random method, • Reclassification of the units in the national statistical business register according to the NACE Rev.2.1 classification by methods elaborated under the project.
