Preservation of Tozour-Hearn Homestead near Indrio Savannahs Preserve

planned

The Tozour-Hearn homestead is a nearly 14-acre property adjacent to the Indrio Savannahs Preserve in St. Lucie County, Florida. The property includes four homes, a 6-acre lake, and is a habitat for various wildlife species including sandhill cranes, eagles, and wood ducks. The current owner, Bill Hearn, has listed the property for sale with hopes to find a steward who will preserve the natural environment and wildlife rather than develop it into residential or commercial projects. The property has historical significance and has been in the family since the early 1960s.
