Description | The supplementary measure, designed as an open program, serves to support and develop the young cross-border biosphere reserve in the Prespa Ohrid region and to promote the Prespa National Park located there. It builds on the concept of the ongoing measure to support the Prespa National Parks (Albania, BMZ No. 200166785 and 2006 40 466) and contributes to protecting biodiversity in the cross-border Prespa region and to combating poverty in the Albanian part of the Prespa region. In 2013, a grant of EUR 3.5 million from the 2013 Comprehensive Plan was promised for the supplementary measure in negotiations with the Albanian government. |
