Description | DC Water has completed its Pressure Zone Improvement Program (PZIP) for the Anacostia 2nd High Service Area. The project included increasing water pressure for more than 6,000 Ward 8 homes and businesses by constructing the Anacostia Pumping Station, installing water mains, and building a two-million-gallon water storage tower on St. Elizabeths campus. The new infrastructure resulted in a 22 pounds per square inch (psi) increase in water pressure across the service area, providing improved water pressure and increased fire protection for all customers. |
