Description
Description | "In many European countries, violent radicalisation has become an increasing issue, in particular among younger groups of populations. There is more and more media coverage of extremist or violent incidents that often come with open questions as to whether there had been signs or hints before or whether these incidents could have been prevented by immediate surroundings or society in general. It is therefore of crucial importance to support actors and organisations dealing with people of different ethnic, religious, cultural and/ or educational backgrounds on local level, such as educational providers (formal or non-formal), youth centres and other NGOs, stakeholders in sports environments and local administrations to have know-how and competences to prevent and counter all forms of radicalisation when being in contact and/or cooperation with the target group, i.e. young individuals. DIVE IN aims at supporting local actors working particularly with young people by enhancing their knowledge and capacity to prevent and counter radicalisation (with a specific pragmatic focus on violent radicalisation). DIVE IN will produce innovative and specific training material, provide learners with tailored trainings that offer them ""life learning scenarios"" and an online cooperation hub for local actors, open also to other Member States, sharing lessons learnt and room for common prevention projects building on respective knowledge achieved. This will be managed within the virtual DIVE IN Training Centre, train the trainer and capacity training for educators and local actors (in particular: HE/VET teachers, guidance counsellors and social inclusion supporters) in the 4 partner countries (AT, EL, ES, IT) and the Associated Partners and identified multipliers (in DE, FR, NO). Public contents offered by DIVE IN as training material will follow an open license scheme; training during the project duration will be open to the addressed audience." |
