Description | The objective of the Second Primary and Secondary Education Sector Project is to assist the Government to accelerate policy reforms and institutional changes to improve the quality of education and the efficiency of educational management, and increase access to better education. Specifically, the project will include: (1) the provision of 295 educational resource centers which are crucial for the delivery of the new primary school curriculum; (2) the provision of about 4400 primary and secondary classrooms, and related boarding and staff housing facilities in the most disadvantaged and overcrowded districts; and (3) a staff development program for about 7400 key educators, trainers, advisors and managers, including fellowships abroad and local training. |
