The specific objectives are to: (i) increase access by underprivileged children to preschool to improve their readiness for the first two cycles of basic education; (ii) improve learning in basic education, particularly in reading, writing, and mathematics, in the schools benefitting from the program; (iii) increase grade promotion rates and improve the rates for completion of grade 6 in the schools benefitting from the program; and (iv) transfer a strategy for the educational use of technology to the primary schools benefitting from the program.
