Description | The project will increase access to community and recreation by constructing a new pool, including 4 lanes, leisure pool, sauna, hot tub, and multi-purpose room. The new facility’s space and water heating will be provided by the downtown district energy system. The project works include: - New approx. 46,404 sq.ft single-storey aquatic centre with: * sauna, steam room, hot tub; * four-lane 25m lap pool, four-lane teaching pool; * leisure pool with waterslide, water features, and zero-depth entry; * showers, changerooms; * multi-purpose room for education, training and special events; * administration and service rooms; - New parking lot, pathways, landscaping, site finishing, outdoor lighting, and signage; - Improved bus transfer station and active transportation measures for pedestrians and cyclists; - Demolition, disposal, and site clean-up of the old Four Seasons Pool building (only once new facility is operational); and, - All related works. |
