Description | The Prince Rupert Gas Transmission line is a planned pipeline to transport two billion cubic feet per day of natural gas from northeastern British Columbia to the West Coast. It is intended to supply the Ksi Lisims LNG project near Prince Rupert, B.C. The pipeline was initially proposed in 2013 by TC Energy to supply the Petronas-backed Pacific NorthWest LNG project. The project was sold to the Nisga'a Nation and Western LNG in March 2024, who acquired the permits and certificates for the pipeline. TC Energy's CEO has indicated the company could be open to returning as a pipeline partner to build and operate the pipeline if approached. |
