Prince William Digital Gateway Data Center Project

cancelled

The Prince William Digital Gateway project was a proposed data center development planned across roughly 2,100 acres in Prince William County, Virginia. It was intended to become the world's largest data center campus, attracting tens of billions of dollars in investment, creating thousands of jobs, and providing substantial tax revenue. However, the project faced strong opposition due to its proximity to Manassas National Battlefield Park and concerns over local infrastructure and natural resources. The project was ultimately derailed by a court ruling that found the county failed to meet public-notice requirements during the rezoning process, leading to the project's abandonment by QTS after dropping appeals.
