Description
Description | The aim of the programme is to increase the population's access to quality health services and to improve the efficiency and quality of medical care, especially for pregnant women and newborns, as well as their emergency treatment in selected programme hospitals in the Khatlon region (oblast). This is intended to make a meaningful contribution to achieving the overarching development policy goal of improving the health of the population in the programme region. This is to be achieved through rationalisation and optimisation measures in the medical care structure, modernisation of hospital infrastructure and equipment, introduction of modern care methods and implementation of extensive training and further education measures. The target group of the programme includes the population of the Khatlon region, in particular pregnant women, mothers and newborns. Around 175,000 women are of childbearing age between 15 and 49 years. The FC funds for implementation of the entire programme amount to EUR 45.5 million (EUR 40.1 million - investment and EUR 5.4 million - accompanying measure (BM)). |
