Description

Description

The FC program Mother-Child Care and Emergency Medicine II-V is an open program. Phase VI represents a continuation of the program. In line with the strategic goals of the FC program, this FC module improves access to appropriate, qualitatively appropriate emergency obstetric care and care for sick premature and newborn babies at the highest reference level. As part of the project, the TNRI will be strengthened in its functions as 1) the highest reference level for mother-child clinics for the FC program region Khatlon, 2) as the No. 1 maternity hospital for the population of Dushanbe and 3) a training hospital in the mother-child area. The reference hospital currently still has insufficient spatial and technical capacity. The investment measures focus on setting up modern obstetrics and appropriate newborn care (including neonatal intensive care unit and neonatal operating room) at the TNRI. As part of the renovation work on the maternity ward and neonatology, the departments are to be reorganized in order to optimize workflows and room layout. In addition, renovation work is being carried out on the entire building (roof, windows, electricity, water/sewage, heating, etc.). At the same time, the accompanying measure is to improve the capacities of the medical staff and the reference system.
