Description

Description

KfW holds a trust stake of EUR 25 million in the Omnivore Agritech & Climate Sustainability Fund 3 VCC on behalf of the German federal government. This fund invests in the Indian Omnivore Agritech & Climate Sustainability Fund 3, which in turn provides equity to young companies that develop and market innovative technologies and services for the agricultural sector in India. A particular focus is on the issues of climate and gender. The fund specifically uses India's strength in the field of technological innovations to solve the problems of inefficient agriculture. The fund was founded in 2023 and has a term until 2033. The aim is to use the fund's portfolio companies to increase the productivity, efficiency and sustainability of agricultural production by small farmers, as well as to create additional employment opportunities and higher incomes for small farmers. This is to be ensured primarily through the use of the technologies developed by the portfolio companies.
