Description | The project involves the acquisition of Petrobras' 51% stake in natural gas distribution affiliate Petrobras Gás S.A (Gaspetro). The Brazilian state oil company sold the shares to Compass Gas for $395m (R$2.1billion). The other existing shareholder Mitsui will retain its 49% stake. Gaspetro is a holding company with combined network of over 10,000km, distributing 29m cubic meters of gas per day to over 500 thousand clients.
