Description

Description

The Process Equipment Replacement and Upgrade at the Rodney Wastewater Treatment Plant located in the Municipality of West Elgin, will include of the replacement of one (1) secondary clarifier and 1 alum storage tank along with the upgrading of 2 lagoon decant system. The upgrades to the system equipment will help to improve the reliability and effectiveness of primary and secondary treatment process. The improved performance of primary and secondary treatment processes will also extend the operating life of equipment in downstream processes. Consequently, the project will reduce operation and maintenance costs, extend the life of the asset, and reduce the risk of system failure or service disruption due to imminent or potential failure of parts of the collection system or treatment facility. It will also decrease the risk of environmental contamination caused by sewage overflows and bypasses through increased monitoring and public reporting.
