Description
Description | The project builds on the experience of the previous project PRODIA I (Programa de Desenvolvimento Integrado para as Autarquias e as Zonas Rurais Circunjacentes). In a second phase (PRODIA II), funds are to be made available to finance economic infrastructure and investment-related measures in a further nine municipalities (autarquias) in the three priority provinces of German development cooperation with Mozambique (Inhambane, Manica and Sofala). This covers all municipalities, including the municipalities newly founded in November 2013, in the three priority provinces. The total cost of the project is EUR 29 million. The aim of the FC measure is the sustainable provision of infrastructure and services for the urban, peri-urban and rural populations of the autarquias. The measures are implemented via national procedures. The population is involved in the selection and planning and uses the infrastructure. The target group of the project is the urban and peri-urban population of the autarquias and that of the surrounding rural areas. In addition to economically relevant infrastructure, emphasis will be placed on climate adaptation and urban development. |
