The present intervention is relative to the maintenance program for secondary and tertiary roads. The program is part of a comprehensive program designed to restore the balance between the quality of main roads and secondary and tertiary roads. It should also contribute to achieving the objectives of the maintenance policy pursued by the Directorate of Roads and Road Traffic (DRCR), namely: i) preserve the road heritage by an adequate maintenance of the roads and their dependencies; (ii) satisfy the community by minimizing traffic costs and ensuring its sustainability; (iii) increase safety by providing users with safe and comfortable traffic conditions. The program comprises three components, namely: (i) reinforcement work on part of the secondary and tertiary road network with a total length of 2,418 km; (ii) completion of surface layer renewal work on another part of the secondary and tertiary road network with a total length of 1079 km; (iii) services of the public testing and research laboratory.
