Program to Promote Inclusive Infrastructure

The objective of this TC is to support the governments of the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) region to advance towards a more inclusive infrastructure, in particular transport, water and sanitation and energy. This can be done through the inclusion of universal accessibility standards in the infrastructure projects, providing training and educational programs for People with Disabilities (PwD) to promote labor inclusion. The specific objectives of this TC are: (i) to provide technical support to national and local executing agencies in the design and implementation of inclusive infrastructure and energy projects; (ii) support executing agencies and governments in the adoption and implementation of public policies that promote the inclusion of PwD; and (iii) to provide training for the executing agencies (national and local) to implement innovative initiatives to advance in a more inclusive sector.
