Program to Support the Economic Census

Contribute to the definition, implementation and evaluation of economic development policies and programs - at the national, regional and municipal levels - through the generation of relevant statistical information. With this purpose, the program intends to support the DGEEC in accomplishing the Economic Census contributing with human, materials, and financial resources that will allow the activities of the census to be achieved with efficiency and at a timely manner. In addition, it plans on strengthening the operational and managerial capacities of the DGEEC and on preparing a National Statistical Plan (PEN) that is able to generate, compile, and spread the official statistics in an integrated, coordinated, and rational manner. The PEN is going to be under a common technical normative that fulfills the basic requirements of quality, universality, objectivity, and reliability.
