Description | The actions of PLASMAR+, in support of the Management of Maritime Space (OEM) based on scientific knowledge and ecosystem approach, cover the whole Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of the regions of Madeira, Azores and Canary Islands. Its actions include the support system for the Indimar decision (web application that integrates relevant and updated data that allows locating the most suitable areas for the development of the different economic activities) for the OEM with a total of 8 maritime activities (incorporation of floating offshore energy and recreational fishing). Indimar requires the improvement of data infrastructures to incorporate the new results, such as 6 new monitoring programs, and to support up to 4 specific applications, such as cumulative impact analysis and ecosystem services, or support to the Environmental Impact Assessment process. The BlueGrowth Index will inform sustainability trends and identify the sectors with the greatest potential. |
