Description | Project Alpha is a nearly $28 million expansion of the LaFranier Road campus in Grand Traverse County. It includes constructing a 13,500-square-foot emergency operations and communications center (EOCC) and a 38,000-square-foot central operations building (COB) behind the Health Services building. The COB will provide storage and operational space for multiple county departments. Solar panels and an on-site well for irrigation and backup potable water are planned. The COB is expected to be complete next spring, and the EOCC is slated for early summer 2027 completion. |
