Project Azalea Data Center

Project Azalea is a proposed 200-acre data center in McDuffie County, Georgia, estimated to be worth about $1 billion once fully built out. The project is expected to generate around $25 million a year in local revenue and support approximately 125 full-time permanent jobs after construction. The project site is within the 'Countryside' character area of McDuffie County, where future development should preserve open space and maintain a rural character. The Development of Regional Impact (DRI) report flagged infrastructure concerns including insufficient energy supply and the absence of a completed traffic study.
