Project Blue Data Center Water Supply Wells

under construction

Project Blue is a data center under development in Tucson, Arizona. The project involves drilling two water wells on-site to supply water primarily for drinking and fire suppression. The data center will use a closed-loop air-cooled system for cooling, minimizing water consumption, with water use estimated to be similar to that of two to three sit-down restaurants. The wells are permitted to pump up to 600 gallons per minute each, with an annual water use limit of 96.5 acre feet (about 31.4 million gallons).
