Description | Adelaide Airport's Project Flight is a A$600 million aeronautical infrastructure upgrade program. It includes expansion of the check-in hall by more than 1,500m2 to increase capacity by 25%, replacement of existing check-in equipment with latest technology, addition of 10,000m2 to the northern end of the terminal with new domestic gate lounges, aerobridges and office accommodation, and extension of the southern end by 5,500m2 to include new domestic and regional gates. The project also involves adding up to nine aircraft positions, security screening upgrades with body scanners and 3D x-ray machines, new security lanes, and enhancements such as a new international departures gate and family facilities. |
