Project Hangang Phase 2

under construction

The second phase of the Bank of Korea's digital currency pilot project, Project Hangang, aims to verify the commercial viability of a digital currency-based payment infrastructure. It focuses on enabling customers to use deposit tokens in real life, expanding participation and usage settings, and upgrading functions such as person-to-person transfers, interest payments, and automatic conversion. The project also tests potential expansion into public finance execution by paying local government subsidies and policy funds on a deposit token basis.
