Description | Project Lonestar is a lithium production facility by Energy Exploration Technologies Inc. (EnergyX) that aims to produce 250 metric tons of battery-grade lithium carbonate equivalent per year initially, with plans to scale up to a commercial capacity of 50,000 tons per year. The project uses a proprietary direct extraction and refining process called GET-Lit, designed to be the lowest cost lithium producer in the U.S. EnergyX owns nearly 50,000 acres in the Smackover Formation and plans modular expansion with trains capable of producing 12,500 tons per year, with the first train expected to operate by 2028. |
