Description | Project Matador is a behind-the-meter energy and compute campus spanning more than 7,500 acres in Carson County, Texas. It is designed to deliver up to 17 GW of power from lower-carbon natural gas, advanced nuclear, solar, and battery storage to premier tenants. The project has secured over 2 GW of power generation, obtained a ~6 GW Clean Air Permit, filed for an additional ~5 GW permit, and is participating in the NRC's Environmental Impact Statement pilot program. Construction is progressing on schedule with completed natural gas lines, perimeter fencing, water distribution lines, connected transmission systems, and arrival of six Siemens SGT-800 gas turbines. |
